Meet Simon Burgess

Simon Burgess is the Director of Burgess APM and has senior-level experience in sales, marketing and export of food and agricultural products, as well as key account management, business development, and business strategy skills. He is currently an advisor in soft commodities to ITOCHU Corporation of Japan.

Before establishing Burgess APM, Simon held senior positions in the international sales and marketing of commodities and consumer goods. He has led the international sales and marketing teams at Queensland Sugar Ltd, Golden Circle Limited and the Australian Dairy Corporation as well as managing AWB Limited’s office in Tokyo, Japan.

We are proud to say that we have excellent contacts and relationships on both the supply-side (with Australian producers) and the demand side (with APAC buyers) after 30+ years of experience in the export of, and international sales and marketing of, Australian food and agri-commodities.

We have worked with some of Australia’s largest food companies including Bega Cheese and have an ongoing relationship with a global top-200 firm, ITOCHU Corporation of Japan. Our relationships with both small and large firms have been maintained over the years due to our attention to detail and customer focus.
